Wattwin - Making a Business Process Management Platform Usable

Wattwin needed a team with expertise in process automation (Camunda BPM) to help them deepen their integration with the Business Process Management platform. We helped them to integrate this as part of their UI making a user-friendly seamless integration.

About Wattwin

Wattwin is a cloud CRM platform that integrates a set of tools to manage and scale solar self-consumption businesses.

Wattwin helps their customers to manage their sales process and customers, automating all the engineering processes and enabling the collaboration.

Our Challenge

Until now, automation was carried out by platform experts. Engineers who were in charge of creating ad-hoc workflows for clients. This was inefficient both for the users and for Wattwin, who needed specific technical people working on creating custom processes.

The challenge was to have a platform with a friendly and intuitive experience for non-technical users, allowing them to create their own business automations.

Empowering Non-Technical Users

We developed an automation designer that was completely integrated with the Wattwin UI. This allowed both technical and non-technical customers to create their own business automations easily.

With the new workflows platform, customers can introduce their own logic to the platform or make integrations with their external systems based on triggers that happen in the CRM.

Technologies used

We are working on this project using the technologies adopted by the company—Loopback framework, which is a Node.js framework as well as Angular for building the user interface.

Loopback is a framework that is specifically designed to help developers create API servers faster. It provides a set of tools that enable developers to quickly build RESTful APIs.

Angular is a technology used in the development of the user interface for the Wattwin platform. It is a popular front-end development framework that is maintained by Google and is used for building dynamic and responsive web applications.

Deepstream is the real-time technology used in the development of the Wattwin platform. It provides instantaneous updates and responses to user actions, allowing for a seamless and responsive user experience.

Actual Value Delivered

With the integration of Camunda BPM, Wattwin was able to provide a more intuitive experience for both technical and non-technical users. This allowed customers to create their own business automations with ease, expanding the capabilities of the platform beyond previous limits.

The workflows platform also enabled customers to introduce their own logic to the platform, or make integrations with their external systems based on triggers that happen in the CRM.
